Cycle #3 - Final Results!

So here are the results! Many thanks to Sarah for helping out in doing the final weigh-in when I went out of town unexpectedly.

So I think that Stacey was working out a few times a day (as a matter of fact, she confirmed that with me today!). Stacey really pulled it out by calculating what she needed to lose and worked her you know what off again, edging out Sharon. I think she also got Angie under close watch and the team pulled it out, too! I wanted to give Sharon recognition in doing an awesome job with her weight loss and smoking cessation - you look great!

Week #11 - one more week to go!

With one more week to go, people are getting serious. I think Stacey is working out four times a day (OK, maybe three times...). I got everyone except Joe this week. Stacey, Becky, and Kaniz did a great job. Although it doesn't show it in the numbers, Deanna is looking awesome and I think is building some muscle and transforming her body (so the scale is misleading;-)

It seem like Sharon has run away with the individual, but the team is still up for grabs, in my opinion. I know that team Purple is going to bring it strong to see if they can't catch team Blue over the next week - I can't wait to see what happens next Tuesday!

The end of week 8 and everyone buy Joe weighed in. It seemed like most were pleasantly surprised that "it wasn't as bad as I thought..." That was after the big United Way fundraiser pizza-party on Tuesday! Here are the results:

So it seems that everyone is off to a slow start, including me! I'm going to re-dedicate myself to posting and everyone is going to re-dedicate themselves to being the biggest loser! So far, Sharon looks like the frontrunner and her team with Kaniz is on top with Sharon's big lead.

Cycle #3 - Week #3

We started Cycle #3 on September 21st and have nine participants this time around. After three weeks (ending on October 12th) we are off to a varied start. It looks like Stacey is back in her strong competition mode along with Sharon. This time around, the contestants picked their teams with two men and eight women. We still need to get a team name and/or color for Sharon/Kaniz and John/Joe…Here are the results:

Cycle #2 - Wrap-up!

Hi all! I have been remiss in getting the wrap up post for Cycle #2...I was going to do the post after everyone weighed-in, but since everyone didn't get in to do so, I never got around to it - then Cycle #3 started and...Enough with my lame excuses, here it is!

Team winner was the A-team, Manuel & Sharon with a loss of 7.40%. Team Green (Ray and Rogelio) were right behind with 6.61%. Great job!

For the best male, Rogelio was the winner with 10.44%. Manuel did a great job as an individual coming in at 7.72%. Victor came in third with 6.69%. I remember when Victor expressed interest in participating and I wondered if he had enough weight to lose - he let me know he wanted to get in great shape and knew he might not a big contender as the maximum percentage he had wasn't as much as some of the contestants. Victor did a great job - those last few pounds are some hard ones to lose and he did it. I just saw him last week and he still looks great and has kept it off!

Our best female was Sharon, claiming her third prize (she was the first to 5% and got the team title w/ Manuel) coming in at 6.91%. Becky came in second with 4.31%. I'm happy to report they are both going for Cycle #3. Sharon has also conquered smoking at the same time as losing weight, which is a huge accomplishment! Great job, ladies!

I had fun doing this again and a big thanks to Sarah for helping out as I was out a few Tuesdays for Cycle #2. I will now be hounding everyone for any week-to-week $$ for Cycle #3's pot;-) Thanks to all for participating and good luck in the future!
