Cycle #2 - Wrap-up!

Hi all! I have been remiss in getting the wrap up post for Cycle #2...I was going to do the post after everyone weighed-in, but since everyone didn't get in to do so, I never got around to it - then Cycle #3 started and...Enough with my lame excuses, here it is!

Team winner was the A-team, Manuel & Sharon with a loss of 7.40%. Team Green (Ray and Rogelio) were right behind with 6.61%. Great job!

For the best male, Rogelio was the winner with 10.44%. Manuel did a great job as an individual coming in at 7.72%. Victor came in third with 6.69%. I remember when Victor expressed interest in participating and I wondered if he had enough weight to lose - he let me know he wanted to get in great shape and knew he might not a big contender as the maximum percentage he had wasn't as much as some of the contestants. Victor did a great job - those last few pounds are some hard ones to lose and he did it. I just saw him last week and he still looks great and has kept it off!

Our best female was Sharon, claiming her third prize (she was the first to 5% and got the team title w/ Manuel) coming in at 6.91%. Becky came in second with 4.31%. I'm happy to report they are both going for Cycle #3. Sharon has also conquered smoking at the same time as losing weight, which is a huge accomplishment! Great job, ladies!

I had fun doing this again and a big thanks to Sarah for helping out as I was out a few Tuesdays for Cycle #2. I will now be hounding everyone for any week-to-week $$ for Cycle #3's pot;-) Thanks to all for participating and good luck in the future!

Week #9 - Everyone is on vacation...

We had quite a few on vacation this week, including John, Stacey, Rogelio, and Panda. Sharon was out in the field. For those that were here, we had three gainers and nine losers. The big story this week was Lance and Victor coming on strong to challenge for the team title.

Week #8 – Anne is back!

Sorry I was not able to weigh everyone in over the last two weeks. Many thanks to Sarah for helping out with the weigh-ins! In week 8, we had eight weight losers/maintainers, eight weight gainers, and one (Angie) did not weigh-in. Overall, everyone has still lost weight compared to the start except for two contestants, so that is great! I’m sure once Deanna recovers from her Michigan trip, she will again be in the overall loss category;-)

On the individual side, Rogelio and Manual are very close with 8.53% and 7.79%, respectively. For the ladies, Sharon and Panda are the front-runners with 4.99% and 3.80%, respectively. I still would not count out Stacey as we know she has the ability to pour it on strong!

On the team side, the A-team and Team Green are neck and neck, both over 6%. With four weeks left, I think it will be a close race! Here are the stats:

Week #5 - catching up...and missing Nikki

Hi everyone - Sorry I did not get a chance to update for week #4. I'll go back and enter it, but wanted to get you the latest, up-to-date, results from Week #5, first.

First, I wanted to take a moment to remember Nikki...I was so sad to hear about her passing. I did not know her well, but she was always very nice and I felt a positivity and energy from her that made you smile. She was doing great in our competition and will surely be missed. Let's all continue on with all the progress we are making and do it in her memory, living our lives to the fullest.

This week, Deanna and Brandy were on vacation, Angie was on jury duty, and Ray/Rogelio also did not weigh in. Their percentages were from their last weigh-ins. I've listed Nikki's last weigh-in from 6/29 and will pro-rate her percentage for the team competition so Brandy can continue in the team competition. Rogelio, Manuel, and Ray are coming on strong for the men and Victor really moved up as he hadn't had a chance to weigh-in the last few weeks. Sharon is doing great for the ladies. On the team side, Team Green and the A-team are doing great! I can't wait to see how everyone does in Week #6.

Week #3 – Summertime Challenges?

So week #3 is behind us now and it seems a bit harder to loose the weight than during the winter/spring months for some. Even harder than Superbowl weekend! During the last week, Angie, Ben, and Victor did not weigh-in.

The environmental division field staff is coming on strong as a group, but we do have a winner from the office – Sharon is the first to 5% weight loss @ 5.28%. Way to go Sharon!

On the team side, looks like the big contenders are Team Green and the A-team at this point, but I wouldn’t count Team Purple out just yet as Kevin and Angie both did an outstanding job last cycle. Here are the results on the week:

This week, we had a little more data to work with and the competitors seemed to stay pretty close to the same. Sharon is still in the lead and very close to the 5% mark for the first challenge! Two very strong teams are out there with the A-team and Green very close with both over 3% already.
